Zanu PF now devouring its children: they now smell like goats

Even in my normal senses, I never thought I would live this long to witness Zanu devouring its own children because they now smell and look like goats. I never thought the people of Mashonaland would turn against Zanu PF and openly talk about removing Zanu structures altogether and begin a new chapter without it. I quickly thought about the flair and style in which Mugabe's Zanu came to power, it was a marvel if you were of Shona speaking and a curse if you were of Ndebele tribe. Time had come to revenge ancestral sins of a century a half back, punish the grandchildren who have vague knowledge of what transpired between Shona and Ndebele wars of the 1830s. Shona people have intense hatred of the Ndebele people. Immediately after independence it was revenge: The slightest irritation against Zanu PF and Shona was returned with thousands of brutal deaths of innocent Ndebele people of all ages.
I recall very well how Joshua Nkomo warned Mugabe about this slogan: Pasi this and Pasi that, and how it will destroy the fabric of the nation. From Independence Day, on the 18th of April 1980, Zanu was on a destructive path, killing, maiming Ndebele "dissidents". From the word go, Zanu PF has been a party that thrived on killings and counter-killings: anyone who disagrees with the Zanu ideology is murdered. The people of Mashonaland are suffering, killed, maimed and are monitored as if they are criminals in their own ancestral lands. Since the 2017 coup that removed Mugabe from power, thousands of soldiers and the CIO secret service were murdered without a single trace.
We have Itai Dzamara who vanished without trace: even today, we do not know how he died. We know how Herbert Chitepo died; we know how Dr. Edgar Madekurozva died; but not Itai Dzamara. The thought alone, how he met his death at the hands of Zanu back then, is so depressing and nauseating, one can commit suicide, just the thought of it. If the people of Matabeleland were cynical, just like the Chatufa social media audience is, we could be laughing now how Zanu is killing Shonas who dare to oppose Zanu PF. Instead, we are asking hard questions; did you not laugh at us Ndebele's when we endured the genocide atrocities in Matabeleland. Ordinary Shona citizens went further and demanded the public hanging of Joshua Nkomo. The culture of consuming public killings was widely practiced in Zanu camps in Mozambique during the struggle for independence. Most Shona people demanded Joshua Nkomo be killed at the glare of market dwellers at Mbare market.
I listen to the social media Point 5 Creative Studies almost every day: a very informative source of Zimbabwe current affairs media outlet. It gives some objective analysis. You do not need to be of opposition or political renegades to take part in their platform. Listening to most of them talking, I realize that they have discovered how lethal Zanu has become to dissenting voices. It does not mean, however, that Shona people are warming up to the Ndebele tribes. Never! Ndebele- Shona hatred is raw, entrenched in the Psyche of every Shona tribe: and the reverse is the same.
A person who features most in these discussions is one called Jeff Juda. His framing on tribalism is a cause for concern. His boundaries on who is Zimbabwean and who is not, is ludicrous to put it mildly. Even the likes of Chamisa, according to him, are not Zimbabweans. Jeff Juda is so uneducated to put it delicately: an ultimate example of a misconception. If Jeff Juda was enlightened, he would have known that Africa had no borders before colonialism.
Somehow in his limited mental faculties: Jeff Juda is inviting us to mean Zimbabweans are the best species on earth. How he degrades Zambians and Malawians, is wholly pathetic. Mabwidi, Manyasarandi, Ma Mozambiquean: insults will go on; according to Jeff Juda, these neighbour nations are less humans than the glorious higher Zimbabweans. Next time JJ will be telling us that Ndebele people are not Zimbabweans, and must leave Zimbabwe.
So, when Jeff Juda started questioning the name Zimbabwe: why is Zimbabwe named so, where did it come from? The name Zimbabwe must be replaced; he said. Joshua Nkomo named Southern Rhodesia Zimbabwe. Jeff Juda's hatred of Karanga tribe and Ndebele was evident in arguing that this nation must have another name and not Zimbabwe. Personally, I do not have any name so befitting as the name Zimbabwe, the rich artifacts of cultures of centuries: the house of stone in Masvingo stands out.
We dislike Mnangagwa, his henchmen in the region, yes. We cannot remove Mnangagwa's citizenship from him because he grew up in Zambia. Mnangagwa has turned into a thug, a criminal, a murderer. But it does not deprive him of his citizenship because he is dangerous. As a matter of fact, Immersen Mnangagwa mirrors who we are as a nation. It is this curse in Mnangagwa we must remove from us, and we cleanse ourselves from evil without smearing the evil in Mnangagwa on Zambians, Malawians Mozambique, and Burkina Faso.
The message I am taking home is that we have sunk very low as a nation. The state of desperation and recklessness is evident in discussions on our social media. I applaud the social media Point 5 Creative Studies for the objectivity in facilitating all disparaging voices possible. In this media platform, we learn how our people think about the current situation at home in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe nation started on a wrong footing from the first day of 18th April 1980 independence. A corrective will not be a walk in the primrose garden. Hard work must be done. I can say with equal truth that my generation messed up. We shall leave this nation in a tribalistic mess. It is for this reason we shall never find peace even in our graves.
