Bloodthirsty demon of war currently in Eastern DRC will visit Zimbabwe

19 Feb 2025 at 21:12hrs | Views
The bloodthirsty demon of war and destruction currently operating in DRC will proceed to Zimbabwe on invitation by the Shona supremacist government of Zimbabwe.

The unresolved issue of Matabele genocide, institutionalised tribal discrimination against Matabeles who are denied the right to higher education, work, hold higher positions in politics, to participate in the Zimbabwean economy and failure to address the demand for the restoration of Matabeleland state is an open invitation of the blood-sucking demon of war to Zimbabwe.

Surprisingly, the SADC leaders who are falling over each other in a race to engage warring groups in DRC in an effort to restore peace, are sitting on the Notice of Demand for the Restoration of Matabeleland State circulated and distributed to all SADC and AU states by Matabeleland Liberation Organisation led by Cde Paul Siwela. Clearly, SADC only pays attention to important political matters when there is blood on the floor.

Not to say it is wrong to advocate for peace in DRC or elsewhere in the world but why is Matabeleland ignored? The Shona supremacist government of Zimbabwe views this as a pat on the back by SADC to continue murdering, oppressing and abusing Matabele minorities in Zimbabwe. The SADC region looked aside when Matabeles were slaughtered in a genocide by the government of Zimbabwe. Our political grievances that are put forward in peace to prevent a looming destructive conflict are suppressed.

We hear open political attacks on Rwandan leader, Paul Gagame, who is blamed for being party to instability in DRC but there is not even one word of rebuke against President of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa who is the perpetrator of Matabele genocide and tribal discrimination in Zimbabwe.

Even Robert Mugabe who presided over Matabele genocide died without being held to account. Mnangagwa and his government had the opportunity and power to charge Mugabe for the crime of genocide against Matabeles. Did he do that? No! He did not. Instead, Mugabe was protected by the government of Zimbabwe until he died of natural causes at the ripe age of 95 years.

Mnangagwa cannot deceive Matabeles when he pretends to be solving Matabele genocide using and abusing Matabele chiefs who are otherwise traumatised survivors of the genocide themselves. Matabele genocide perpetrators are dying to be buried at Heroes Acre, glorified as heroes. This sends a wrong message to the Shona people and their children that Matabele lives are of no value and can be taken at any given time with impunity. This makes Zimbabwe the most dangerous environment for all Matabeles.

Mnangagwa is known for his hate speeches against Matabeles  whom he referred to as cockroaches that needed to be annihilated using DDT pesticide during Matabele genocide. True to his word, over 40 000 innocent Matabele civilians including children and women were dastardly killed, more than 100 000 Matabele women including children were raped, more than 100 000 Matabele homes were burnt down more than 300 000 Matabeles were maimed and many died later due to internal injuries as they were denied treatment in the hospitals and clinics. Over 1 million Matabeles were displaced to the neighbouring countries like South Africa and Botswana. The remaining 5 million plus Matabeles face tribal discrimination under the government of Zimbabwe.

Instead of retracting his dangerous hate speeches against Matabeles, Mnangagwa digs in. In his latest hate speeches, he refers to Matabeles who are demanding their right to self determination as possessed by the spirit of legion, threatening to shorten their lives. Although these words that come  from an unrepentant genocidist are chilling, there is no rebuke from SADC or AU.

When faced with white minority oppression, Zimbabwe liberation organisations like ZAPU and its splinter group ZANU took up arms and fought for independence. Matabeles are under tribal oppression at the hands of Zimbabwe Shona supremacist government that is worse than white minority Rhodesian government. Who can blame Matabeles for taking up arms to fight for the restoration of Matabeleland state when the Shona supremacist government is doing worse things than the white minority government?

The demon of war and destruction that is currently plying its trade in DRC will sooner or later visit Zimbabwe purely by invitation by the Zimbabwe Shona supremacist government.
