The Affirmative Action Group (AAG) says the selection of a new executive is progressing well with the unveiling of the incoming administration set for June this year.

The empowerment lobby group's interim executive, which announced the suspension of the Supa Mandiwanzira led executive in October last year following allegations of inefficiency and failure to represent the concerns of the members, says the selection process of candidates is still in progress.

AAG founder and interim president, Mr Philip Chiyangwa says careful consideration is being made to ensure that the new appointees reflect the values of the empowerment pressure group.

Meanwhile, investigations are still in progress on alleged violations of the lobby group's code of conduct and abuse of office by the ousted Mandiwanzira led executive with the findings expected to be announced in due course.

AAG, which is one of the local empowerment groups established with the mandate of lobbying for the economic empowerment of the previous disadvantaged groups, was last year involved in an in-house wrangle following displeasure by the regional members on the suspended leadership.
