Building communities rather than just houses: Chapereka
Fidelity Life is developing 6 000 high density residential stands in Southview Park, Harare with group CE Simon Chapereka saying their strategy is to build communities rather than just houses. The project will also include commercial stands, schools and other amenities.
Chapereka said they have applied to the City of Harare to change the land designation from low density to high density with stand size averaging 240sqm.

"This is expected to go through in Q1 2013", he added.
He said once this has been approved, Fidelity will then engage contractors to work on the roads, water, sewer and power supply to the suburb.

"We are confident there will be a great response as 1 mln people in Harare are in the high density market and it plays in to the Zimbabweans desires to own their own home," said Chapereka.
Fidelity has lined up funding from institutional partners and this will be augmented by internal financial resources while the project is expected to be completed in one and half years after commencement.
