The Governor of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) Dr Gideon Gono says he is aware of the dispute between founder of Kingdom Bank, Nigel Chanakira and Spiritage Group CEO, Matthew Wazara.
In a statement, Dr Gono said the two are mediating with a view to solve the issue amicably.
He said given the quality of the major shareholder, Afrasia, the situation at the bank is under control for normal business to continue.
He said Kingdom Bank is taking measures to address and regularise the performance of major facilities.
The RBZ Governor said it has undertaken to approve and facilitate legal and administrative requirements on the part of Afrasia Bank and other shareholders if they increase their shares.
