Air Zimbabwe reportedly plans to refurbish its entire Boeing fleet (two B767-200ERs and three B737-200 Adv.s) and its two MA-60s as a precursor to launching further regional and international flights.
As a result, however, it has now postponed the planned resumption of its Harare to London Gatwick flights from July 1 to an undisclosed date.
Acting group chief executive, Mr Innocent Mavhunga, said that the Boeing 767s were "still in good condition to ply international routes" but did not say where, when or with whom the refurbishment would be carried out.
The Zimbabwean national carrier has also wet-leased an ERJ-145, ZS-BBH, from Solenta Aviation.
