Air Zimbabwe is looking for new insurers to replace previous insurers, Navistar Insurance Brokers.

Both AirZim and Navistar are being investigated by BCA Forensic Audit Services who have charged the AirZim paid $13.8 million to Navistar whose appointment is a centre storm.

It is alleged Navistar was appointed in violation of tender regulations and fraudulently overcharged premiums by 5.1 million Euros between April 2009 to April 2013.

Acting chief executive officer for Air Zim, Innocent Mavhunga is also under investigation for misinforming his board that Air Zim owed Navistar $2 million for aviation insurance.
