Emirates Announces Special Fares for Dubai Shopping Festival

Emirates Holidays unveils attractive holiday packages to Dubai starting from US$2,022 for two

HARARE - As Dubai gets ready to welcome the world for the 19th edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF), Emirates has announced special packages from Harare to Dubai starting from U$2,022 for two passengers.

Held from January 2 to February 2, 2014, DSF has grown to become one of the most anticipated shopping and entertainment events internationally. With mega raffles, promotions and discounts, exciting hotel offers and activities for all ages â€" DSF is certainly the best time to visit Dubai, the dynamic city that has been selected to host the World Expo 2020.

Emirates is also running a promotion until January 6, for travel between January 15 and March 31, 2014, with fares to Dubai starting from US$730 in Economy Class and US$2,170 in Business Class. To enable passengers to take full advantage of the shopping opportunities, Emirates has also increased its usual 30kg baggage allowance in Economy Class to 40kg and introduced an US$8 per kg special rate on excess baggage up to 500kgs on the Dubai route during that period.

Dubai is globally renowned for its vast selection of retail stores spanning 70 malls, including the world's largest, Dubai Mall, which also houses the children's adventure venue, Kidzania. The city draws large numbers of shoppers from countries within the region as well as shoppers from Europe, Africa and the Indian Subcontinent seeking variety, value and a great experience for the whole family.

Apart from shopping culture, Dubai has also become an established centre for sports events, concerts and an increasing number of cultural activities, such as the Emirates Airline International Festival of Literature. The city is also home to an impressive display of modern architecture, contrasting with its natural beaches and magnificent desert landscapes â€" providing a rich diverse and rich backdrop for visitors and photography enthusiasts.

To avail of the special fares on Emirates airline, bookings must be made between now and February 2 and valid for travel between January 2 and February 2, 2014.

To enhance travellers' DSF experience, Emirates Holidays, the airline's tour operating arm has also unveiled great value deals on its holiday packages starting from US$2,022 including taxes. The starting from price includes return Economy Class airfare, airport departure tax, return airport transfers, three nights' accommodation with breakfast, room tax and service charges.

Customers will also receive a free Entertainer booklet with discount vouchers presenting AED8,000 (approximately US$2,160) worth of savings on dining, entertainment and activities.

This DSF, Emirates Holidays has partnered with hotels and hotel apartments in beach and city locations, ranging from three to five-star â€" to come up with the best value offers ranging from bonus nights, to spa and massage treatments; from F&B discounts to great offers on tours and excursions. In some of the hotels, children (up to two children) below 12 years old stay and eat for free.

Amongst the choice accommodations Emirates Holidays has partnered with is Emirates-owned JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, the world's tallest hotel at 355 metres.

Emirates Holidays' packages are valid for booking between now and February 2, 2014, and valid for travel between January 2 and February 2, 2014.     

Passengers travelling with Emirates benefit from a generous baggage allowance of 30kg in Economy Class, 40kg in Business Class and 50kg in First Class.
