3 Designers from Intwasa Fashion Show to attach with Edgars Stores - Carousel

The recently held 2014 edition of Intwasa Fashion Show featured 12 young Zimbabwean Designers. The designers that showcased their 10 look 2015 collections are Crox Designers, Sanah Designs, Penelope Creations, Rags, Umlongo, Sam Lui, Ara Kani, Ganu Creations, Zah Designs, Shadow By Sidumiso, Lorantofu & Tapfumanei Munenge.

"Through our partnership with Edgars Stores' Carousel, we managed to get 3 designers from the 12 to get the opportunity to get exposure with Edgars on the commercial perspective. Therefore, the Sales & Marketing Executive Mr Peter Mnyama & Senior Product Co-ordinator Miss Uteng Msendame had an opportunity to look into the designers' portfolios and their collections prior to them being showcased on the night. The decision was based on the ability to design a commercial look and also the well finishing of the designers collections"

Zanele Dube of Zah Designs, Sidumiso Tshuma of Shadow By Sidumiso and Nkululeko Ncube of Ara Kani, are the 3 designers that were selected to get the well-deserved attachment with Edgars Stores' Carousel as from next year January. This opportunity will allow the 3 designers to get the commercial exposure of the clothing industry. "Edgars Stores is one of the best in Africa, hence when the opportunity rose for them to be involved in the Intwasa Fashion Show 2014, it was grabbed with both hands so as to allow designers to realise that there is the Business of Fashion to what they do. Earlier this year, a Quality Assurance Workshop for Designers was held so as to elevate designers' skills and quality of work. 26 designers attended and it is mainly those that attended that are doing well in their respective areas of influence. It is important for creative to educate themselves formally or informally through exchanging knowledge or attending seminars not only within their industries."

Zanele Dube of Zah Designs is a 24 year old level 3 Fashion Student at the Bulawayo Polytechnic. Her fashion knowledge has been read on dEck Magazine. She was selected as the second best Designer at this years' Clothing Indaba Bulawayo. Nkululeko Ncube of Ara Kani, is one of the most celebrated Fashion Designers from Zimbabwe. Of late, the 23 year old showcased at the KOAS Calender Launch in Cape Town & won Best Male Designer at the Matabeleland Fashion Week. Sidumiso Tshuma of Shadow By Sidumiso is a 29 year old Zimbabwean Male Designer who featured at the Durban Fashion Fair 2014 & is known for his well-tailored and finished designs. The 3 designers are the outstanding individuals that will be attached with Edgars Stores – Carousel.
