Telecel re-introduces bonus calls to all other local networks

Telecel Zimbabwe has re-introduced 100% off-net bonus on their Mega Bonus promotion which allows pre-paid subscribers to make calls for double the value of the airtime they purchase, regardless of who they are calling, as long as the call is a local call.

The Mega Bonus Promotion gives Telecel customers 100% bonus for all airtime denominations. The validity period for the bonus airtime varies depending on the recharge value but goes up to ten days.


"Telecel is excited to announce the re-introduction of 100% bonus across all local networks. The value we are extending to our customers is unprecedented especially if you take into account that all mobile networks recently reduced their tariffs across the board in line with the regulator driven tariff cuts," said Telecel chief commercial officer, Nkosinathi Ncube.

"The restoration of 100% off-net bonus under the Mega Bonus promotion shows Telecel's continued leadership in innovation and creating value. We have found a way of continuing to offer value even in the face of tariff cuts and an extremely competitive environment," said Mr Ncube.

Telecel also recently announced the launch of their Switch Over campaign that directly encourages subscribers sitting on competitor networks to join the Telecel network but still be able to keep the last 6 digits of their number.

"The re-introduction of 100% bonus across all networks is part of our over-arching Telecel Switch Over campaign. This campaign offers value across our entire product and service range and its primary aim is creating value for our customers.

The affordability Telecel offers is being appreciated by our customers who, like everyone else, are hard-pressed in this current economic situation.

The re-introduction of 100% bonus across all networks comes after the telecoms regulator, POTRAZ, had announced tariff cuts for all mobile networks. The recent cut in mobile tariffs by government had seen a reduction in promotions particularly those offering bonuses.

Telecel is currently the only mobile network offering 100% off-net bonus. It also continues to offer a range of other bundles including on-net voice bundles that cost effectively only 3 cents per minute, data and SMS bundles in addition to the popular Facebook and WhatsApp bundles.
