Resurgent Telecel Zimbabwe has announced plans to launch three new value-packed promotions on their Telecel Go prepaid platform. The three on-net voice call promotions will all be launched early this month.
The three campaigns Night Chat, 073 4 Free Weekend, and Super Voice Bundles are all going to give the mobile company's pre-paid subscribers increased airtime for Telecel-to-Telecel voice calls.
The Night Chat promotion will allow subscribers who purchase 50 cents worth of airtime to make free Telecel-to-Telecel calls from 10pm on the day they recharge until 5am the next morning. To subscribe to this promotion, customers need to dial *156#.
The 073 4 Free Weekend promotion is a recharge-based promotion that will allow subscribers who recharge with a cumulative total of $4 or more between Monday to Friday to enjoy free Telecel-to-Telecel calls that weekend from Saturday at 10pm until Sunday the next day at midnight. Qualification is automatic once a subscriber has reached or surpassed the total $4 recharge threshold through the week.
The Super Voice Bundles offer is an on-net voice call promotion that will allow Telecel Go pre-paid subscribers to buy two voice bundles for $1 or $2 which will give them 60 minutes and 200 minutes respectively. The 60 minutes from the $1 bundle will be valid until midnight on the day of recharge while the 200 minutes from the $2 bundle will be valid until midnight on the second day of recharge. To purchase the Super Voice Bundles, subscribers just dial *156#.
Telecel Chief Commercial Officer, Nkosinathi Ncube, said the three promotions are part of Telecel's continued effort to make mobile services and products affordable and widely available to the majority of Zimbabweans at a time when things are generally very tough for most people.
"These three promotions are all in line with Telecel's brand identity as the mobile company that offers the best value for money to its customers. Telecel's decision to offer more value through these promotions to our hard-pressed customers is part of a wider price leadership strategy which is aimed at ensuring our customers can enjoy affordable mobile services and products," said Ncube.
The launch of the three new promotions come on the back of a recent announcement by the mobile company that it had paid its June licence instalment in line with an agreement between Telecel and POTRAZ.
