THE UDINE PRODUCTS company in the Belmont area in Bulawayo is embroiled in a bitter wrangle with over 100 workers for allegedly deducting workers money for union dues but not remitting it to their union's accounts.

The workers who spoke to this reporter said they are members of the Zimbabwe Construction and Allied Workers Union which is supposed to be getting their union dues but the company was not remitting the money despite deducting it from their pay.

"the company is having the arrears amounting to $90 000 union dues which according to our payslips and cash we get is deducted every month but never remitted to the union," said one worker.

"We are also owed three months salaries by the company with each one of use supposed to earn $800 for the three months."

Union's Regional Officer Taderera Joseph and Human Resources manager a Musumba could not be reached for comment.
