Telecel buyout scandal deepens

It has emerged that influential people in government are using Zarnet as a cover to corruptly take over Telecel for private rather than public benefit.

This comes to light after information showed that the State owned firm that was cherry picked to takeover Telecel, Zarnet, is a shadowy and bankrupt entity with state security links.

The company's financial records show that the company is struggling and teetering on the verge of collapse. Zarnet also has been operating without a board of directors.

Investigations showed that Zarnet has neither the capacity nor expertise to run a mobile operator, let alone takeover Telecel.
