OVER 60 Go Beer employees who have been on forced leave since closure of the company last year have refused to sign contract termination letters before payments of their benefits and outstanding salaries.

The workers yesterday gathered at Go Beer administration offices and vowed not to give in to council's demands to fire them.

They said they were served with termination of contracts notices on August 12, but said they had since returned the letters to the employer.

The municipality-owned beer concern was closed in July last year due to financial difficulties.
