Telecel has crafted a business revival strategy aimed at increasing its subscriber base and reclaiming its market share.
Telecel CE, Angeline Vere, said the company was working on turning around its fortunes which were waning after government cancelled its operating licence in April this year.
Data from POTRAZ show that Telecel's market share dipped to 17.5 percent from 18.2 percent in the first quarter of the year, while its subscriber base stood at 4.4 million.
The company had also set aside $1.3 million for network upgrade and would be rolling out 4G network in the coming few months.
Meanwhile, Econet Wireless Group (Econet)'s telecommunications infrastructure carrier Liquid Telecom is eyeing a listing on one of Europe's lucrative stock exchanges in 2016.
Econet founder and executive chairman Strive Masiyiwa confirmed the development, saying the group had already appointed advisers for the potential listing of Liquid.
This comes as Econet has received and repeatedly turned down multi-billion dollar offers for the telecommunications company.
