Bytes Document Solutions has appointed Lighthouse Print as an authorised Xerox distributor in Zimbabwe, in line with the company's identification of the country as key to its growth strategy on the continent. Lighthouse is a leading digital print production company in Zimbabwe, with the biggest and fastest range of Xerox equipment in the country.

Established in Harare in 2001, Lighthouse Print has a national footprint and has seen an increasing demand for Xerox products in Zimbabwe. Its appointment as a distributor will play a significant role in helping to grow BDS's presence in Africa through solid, dedicated partners.

"Lighthouse Print's vision is tightly aligned with BDS's Africa growth strategy," says Olivier Merven, regional manager, Africa operations, Bytes Document Solutions. "As a Xerox distributor, it's also important that the team behind the business has a reputation for excellence and a high level of customer centricity."

Fidelis Manyangadze, MD of Lighthouse Print, says the business experimented with several brands while searching for the best solutions to meet customers' printing requirements. "Only Xerox delivered the quality, consistency and service that we desired. We started with a Xerox production press and within four years, we had grown our fleet from one to ten. Since then, we have not looked back. Our business has grown tremendously, and our clients have become more loyal as a result of the high-quality production, quick turnaround and outstanding service that we offer."

Lighthouse Print's target market includes educational institutions, corporates, financial services companies, non-governmental organisations, government departments and parastatals. Following its appointment as an authorised Xerox distributor, the business will now market and service the complete range of Xerox document management equipment, software solutions and services in Zimbabwe.

"There are many advantages to having a partnership with a powerful global brand like Xerox," says Manyangadze. "Our vision is to consistently provide world-class total print solutions to our clients. Pursuing the Xerox distributorship was fundamental to that because we believe in the excellence and integrity of the brand."

BDS has a well-established presence in Africa with an extensive Xerox footprint across the continent.

"The Xerox brand has been the preferred office equipment name in the Zimbabwean market for more than 30 years, having first launched there in 1985," says Merven. "BDS will continue its investment in training our distributors and business partners in sales, product and technical support, as well as assisting with marketing and advertising strategies."
