Telone recovers $76m from debtors

State owned telecoms operator Telone says it has recovered $76 million from debtors in the first seven months of the year after employing a number of debt recovery methods, an official has said.

The parastatal owed more than $264 million by various players across the economy, including the government said between January and July they collected $76 million from debtors.

Company's corporate communications manager, Melody Harry said every Telone was participating in the debt collection initiatives thus increasing their capacity and impact.
