Delta Beverages feel economic pinch

Delta Beverages suffered a 8% revenue drop for the six months as economic pressures continue to dog the economy.

In an update for the second quarter to September 30 out Monday, Delta said sorghum beer volume for the quarter went up by 4% for the quarter and 6% for the six months.

Lager beer volume is 7% down as compared to the corresponding period last year.

Sparkling beverages volume is up by 3% for the quarter.

Delta said it was reducing prices to maintain volumes.
