The Zimbabwe is open for business mantra has opened economic avenues for the country and to buttress this, the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) through its Special Advisor Ambassador Christopher Mutsvangwa has managed to successfully court New York fund managers for the first time in the history of Zimbabwe.
Giving feedback to the ZBC News of the trip he undertook to New York to market Zimbabwe, Ambassador Mutsvangwa said nation branding aims at improving the country's standing as the image and reputation of a nation can dramatically influence its success in attracting tourism receipts and investment capital.
He also reiterated that Zimbabwe's economic fortunes is the most top priority for the new government and therefore it is important to have a shared vision as a nation in attracting the much needed foreign direct investment.
A sustainable development path of the country depends on an inclusive approach where the government coordinates all stakeholders, including the private sector and citizens in efforts to uplift the socio-economic development of the country.
