Good rains to spur Zimbabwe economic growth

Zimbabwe is likely to record positive growth rates this year due to the good rains received this wet season and the confidence-building efforts that are underway, a local think-tank has said.

Zimbabwe Economic Policy Research Unit (Zeparu) executive director Gibson Chigumira said the three policy documents that include the budget, monetary policy and the Zimbabwe Agenda for Sustainable Socio-Economic Transformation (ZimAsset) had set the tone for the economy.

Chigumira said the government and the other sectors of the economy were working together.
