An International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation has arrived in Zimbabwe for a two week review of economic policies.
The IMF team will hold meetings with government ministries, the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ), business representative institutions, economic advisors and industrialists on policies to increase business.
The Executive Director of the Chartered Institute of Customer Relationship Management Africa, Dr Chris Kasiyazi said the renewed interest by the IMF on Zimbabwe is likely to improve foreign direct investment (FDI) in the long term.
"We welcome them as they play a critical role in the economy," he said.
Presenting the 2014 Mid-Term Fiscal Policy review statement last week, the Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Patrick Chinamasa said the government is ready to work with the IMF.
Findings on the economy by the IMF, which will be released after the completion of the team's visit, are expected to pave way for improved relations with Zimbabwe.
