Zimbabwe sets up committee to resolve debt crisis

RBZ deputy governor, Kupukile Mlambo, has said that the government was pushing hard to have a deal with the IMF, World Ban, and AfDB to resolve the country's debt crisis.
This confirms a statement by the IMF in April suggesting that Zimbabwe had "stepped up" its re-engagement with international creditors.
Mlambo said a committee had been set up to come with proposals on clearance of arrears with the three multilateral institutions.
The committee is targeting to take its debt clearance proposals to creditors by October this year.
