Zimbabwe has potential to attract huge investments inflows with the availability of mineral deposits coupled with an investment friendly legislative framework.
This is the view of the Pan African leadership attending a conference which is underway in Harare.
The Harare Pan African Leadership Initiative which was organised by the African Enterprise in conjunction with Zimbabwean churches has attracted captains of industry, academia, religious leaders and professors from across the continent.
African Evangelistic Enterprise Chairman, Mr Abe Gatsi said there is need for stakeholders to work closely for the growth of the economy.
"There is need for business leaders to work closely with the government in ensuring the projected growth targets are met," he said.
For African Enterprise CEO, Dr Stephen Mbogo, Zimbabwe has a huge human capital base which is an advantage in attracting huge capital investment for the growth of the economy.
"The world over, Zimbabweans are heading profit making companies and this is an advantage for the country to attract huge capital inflows," said Dr Mbogo.
Harare Metropolitan Province Minister, Miriam Chikukwa implored the church to go beyond the pulpit and engage in various income generating projects.
"I am encouraged by some of the programmes which religious organisations take in response to social needs. I am therefore calling upon the church and religious organisations to contribute to the economy," she said.
Running under the theme 'Building the Nations with Jesus,' the Harare Pan African Leadership Initiative will end on Saturday with a breakfast meeting and a clean-up campaign.
