Government has once again postponed the announcement of the 2012 National Budget from today to Thursday.
In a statement yesterday, Finance Minister Tendai Biti said: "The Principals of the GPA met today, Monday 21 November 2011, at 3pm.
Due to various commitments on their part, the presentation of the 2012 National Budget is deferred from Tuesday 22 November to Thursday 24 November 2011, in Parliament at 14:15pm.
Any inconvenience caused to stakeholders is sincerely regretted." This is the second time the announcement has been deferred.
It was initially postponed from last Thursday to today as the Finance ministry sought to tie a few "loose ends".
The absence of President Mugabe, who had travelled to Asia on official business, had also been overlooked.
The President returned home on Sunday.
