Bulawayo City Council (BCC) has told a South African business delegation that it is willing to establish joint ventures to revive the industry sector in the city.
In his speech Mayor Thaba Moyo said the city is starved of investment but on a 'win-win' situation.
"It is therefore most encouraging that your visit here present the local business persons with the opportunity to embrace this initiative for the establishment of joint ventures with yourselves" said Moyo.
He said a win-win situation with mutual benefits should be established.
Moyo said South Africa could invest in infrastructure rehabilitation in roads, water and sewerage works, traffic control, public lighting and property development.
"Our roads network has outlived its design life and can no longer take patches."
More than 40 SA companies are in Bulawayo to explore opportunities.
Most industries in the city are closed.
