Small to Medium Enterprises Expo launched

Small to medium enterprises have been called on to form partnerships with regional and international partners to unlock fresh capital for growth.
The call was made at the launch of the International SMEs Expo in Harare.
In a speech read on her behalf at the launch of the expo by the Permanent Secretary in the Small to Medium Enterprises and Cooperative Development Ministry, Evelyn Ndlovu, the Minister of Small to Medium Enterprises and Cooperative Development, Sithembiso Nyoni said the sector should use the second edition of the international SMEs expo to create meaningful beneficial partnerships with regional and international exhibitors.
Coordinator of the expo, Delight Makotose said the expo is an opportunity for locals to form partnerships to enhance their contribution in the economy.
This year's expo will run from the 24th to the 27th of October and has already received 180 bookings from regional and international companies.
The SMEs sector contributes between 50% to 60% to the Gross Domestic Product.
