The Swedish Government International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) has signed a US$15,2 million grant with UNICEF Zimbabwe that will improve the lives of many women and children in the country.

The Acting Swedish Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Magnus Carlquist said through UNICEF, many people are expected to benefit as the funds will be channelled to those in need.

UNICEF Country Representative, Marc Rubin said the fund will contribute immensely to the Health Transition Fund and Child Protection Fund, adding that it will assist in supporting young people's initiatives.
