DAIRIBORD Zimbabwe has dragged to court the now defunct Buscod Supermarket for failing to pay close to $5 000 being money for goods it bought on credit.

Buscod Supermarket, a subsidiary of Humble Trading Private Limited with its Head Office at Number 1 Phoenix Road in Belmont, closed most of its outlets last year citing viability problems.

The chain supermarket ventured into clothing retailing and according to court documents, the defunct supermarket had bought goods valued at  $15 809.06 on credit, but failed to pay for them in full.

Dairibord Zimbabwe approached the High Court in Bulawayo and made an application for default judgment in terms of Order 9 Rule 57 seeking to recover the money.

Dairibord pegged its interest at five percent per annum from 1 July 2013 to date of full payment.

Humble Trading Management has reportedly paid part of the money and High Court judge Justice Martin Makonese recently ordered that the defunct supermarket pay the balance of $4 893.32.

Dairibord Zimbabwe's lawyers are Calderwood, Bryce, Hendrie and Partners while Moyo and Nyoni Legal Practitioners represented the defendant.
