THE 2014 Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) marketing campaign will be launched this evening with organisers expected to give an overview and preparations for the upcoming expo.
Organisers of the trade fair, the ZITF Company, yesterday said the marketing campaign launch would be held at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre in Bulawayo.
ZITF Company chairman Mr Bekithemba Nkomo, during the launch is expected to give an overview and preparations of the 55th edition of the trade fair.
The upcoming international expo begins from 22 to 26 April in Bulawayo with three days dedicated to business. The major highlights of the three business days will be an international business conference, as well as networking and match-making sessions.
The marketing campaign launch comes at a time when the ZITF Company has already started marketing the fair locally, regionally and internationally.
By mid October last year, more than 2 026 square metres of the exhibition space had already been booked compared to 1 413 square metres during the same period in 2011.
Improved exhibitor and visitor turnout as well as full participation by leaseholder is expected at the forthcoming international trade showcase.
Taking into account that the new Government would have dealt with challenges such as policy inconsistency, one of the fundamentals detrimental to increasing investment promotion, it is hoped that more exhibitors were likely to participate at next year's ZITF.
Economic analysts have said they were looking forward for the new Government to come up with a broad economic blue print to guide the country in the next five years.
A total of 16 countries exhibited at this year's edition of the ZITF, up from 14 in 2012.
The ZITF has become Africa's premier trade showcase continuing to grow every year.
The trade fair is a launch pad for companies seeking to break into markets in the Southern African region.
