ZITF exhibition dates moved forward

THE Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) has today made a shock announcement that it has moved forward the dates of this year's 55th exhibition.
ZITF had been marketing the premier exhibition under the theme "New Ideas, New Heights" to run from May 6-10.
However, the dates have been changed 10 April 22-16.
No reasons have been offered.
"Through an urgent notice, ZITF said "Please be advised that the 55th edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair will now be held from 22-26 April 2014 and not from 6-10 May 2014 as previously advertised.
"The first three days, 22-24 April will be business days".
ZIFF said, April 23 would be International Business Conference, and the official opening day sent for April 25.
Last year, its was announced that over 100 exhibitors, including lease holders, had booked close to half of the available exhibition space, an indicator the 2014 show would be bigger and better than the previous year.
last year, the exhibition recorded 48 000m² of space taken up by about 700 exhibitors.
Local exhibitors totalled 534, while foreign exhibitors were recorded at 166.
ZITF sold 94% of the total space available.
Countries like Brazil, China, Ethiopia, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania and Zambia participated in the exhibition.
