Vice President Joice Mujuru says the government is exploring various initiatives to fund projects under the 5-year ZIM ASSET economic policy crafted to achieve sustainable development on the socio-economic front.
In a speech read on her behalf by senior minister in the office of the President, Simon Khaya Moyo, at the Zimbabwe International Business Conference held on the sidelines of the 2014 edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) in Bulawayo, Mujuru said the exploitation of the country's resources as well as engaging friendly cooperating partners for affordable working capital will ensure the successful implementation of the ZIM ASSET.
She reiterated government's commitment to fight corruption which is affecting sustainable economic development.
Mujuru said while the manufacturing sector is projected to grow by 3,2 percent, there is still need for foreign direct investment, lines of credit and positive trade balance.
