ZimTrade and IIFT to host an Executive Development Programme on International Trade

ZimTrade, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), will conduct an Executive Development Programme on International Trade from 17-21 November 2014, at the Cresta Lodge, Harare. The programme has materialised as a result of the strong cooperation that exists between the Governments of India and Zimbabwe.
The Executive Development Programme is a customised training for Zimbabwean businesses that aims at developing and improving exporting skills. The course content will cover the following topics: identifying and evaluating export markets; productivity enhancement techniques; enhancing the competitiveness of SMEs, global supply chain management; as well as rules of packaging, labelling and marketing in international markets, among others.
The training programme will be attended by existing, potential and emerging exporters, Government, Industry lobby groups and other stakeholders with keen interest in export business.
The IIFT, one of the premier management Institutes in the area of international business, was set up by the Government of India in 1963. The Institute has been entrusted with the responsibility to conduct customised capacity building programmes on international business in African countries. It has conducted similar capacity building programmes in various African countries namely: Egypt, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Uganda, Senegal, Rwanda and Mauritius, among others.
IIFT has also conducted several research studies with organisations such as the World Bank, World Trade Organisation as well as the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development.
