Harare firms to dominate at ZITF

HARARE companies are dominating local exhibitors at this year's Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) with 55 % compared with host city Bulawayo with just 37%.
ZITF General Manager Nomathemba Ndlovu told a press briefing today that 412 direct exhibitors have reserved space up from last year's 396.
"These exhibitors have taken up 46 018 square metres which represents 91% of the space available for sale.
"In terms of local participation, this year, 55% of our exhibitors will be coming from Harare (last year was 57%), 37% from Bulawayo (last was 35%) while 8% will be coming from other cities and towns in Zimbabwe..' Ndlovu said.
Ndlovu said foreign participation is up with 32 organisations having confirmed participation.
Cyprus is the 17th nation to confirm participation through the University of Nicosia.
