The Beverage Manufacturers Association of Zimbabwe (BMAZ) says business has improved following the current heat wave experienced in some parts of the country, the ZBC News reported.
While many are suffering under the current hot spell, the beverage industry is recording booming business.
BMAZ executive member, Mr Venson Shava said the industry is overwhelmed by orders from retailers as demand has risen on the market, adding that last week sales increased by 30%.
A survey in the streets of Harare revealed that beverage products such as drinks are on high demand.
As a result, shops are now selling warm drinks due to the high rate of turnover.
The current heat wave has been described as the worst in the past 49 years.
