Zimbabwean beauties gather for Miss Zim finals

Thirty-five beaus will on Friday gather in Harare for the Miss Tourism Zimbabwe camp ahead of the pageant's national finals slated for the Rainbow Towers Hotel on February 12.
After a rigorous selection of regional contestants which started in October last year, 35 beautiful models were chosen, and they are now on the last lap, battling for the prestigious Miss Zimbabwe crown.
The first and second princesses will be crowned Miss Tourism Zimbabwe and Miss Universe Zimbabwe respectively.
Harare and Bulawayo are represented by five contestants each while the other provinces have three models apiece.
The camp kicks-off on Friday night with a Sashing Ceremony which will be held at a local hotel.
The event will see the 35 finalists being given their contestant sashes.
On Saturday, the finalists will for the second time in the history of the pageant take a Street Carnival which will start from the Africa Unity Square ending at the Rainbow Towers Gardens.
Zimbabwe Tourism Authority public relations and corporate communications manager, Sugar Chagonda, said they were encouraging the nation to rally behind the carnival in order to make it a success.
The camp will see contestants travelling to various tourist attractions, attending several presentations from renowned business, investment and tourism gurus, grooming and etiquette professionals as well as government officials.
Also, there will be a Miss Talent show and Miss Top Model/ Fashion Show before the final.
