Maneta takes hotness to office

WHILE she made her name on the small screen as an actress and a fiery contestant on the Big Brother reality TV show, Bulawayo-bred damsel Maneta Mazanhi seems to have traded in the glitz and glamour of life in showbiz for the relative calm of office life.
If her latest engagements are anything to go by, the Maneta of old may not be returning to the screens anytime soon as the skimpy dresses and designer outfits in her wardrobe seem to have been replaced by more serious but no less stylish formal wear.
The former reality TV star is now the Head of International Relations at the Johannesburg-based, Nigerian-powered African Young Entrepreneurs (AYE) network.
The organisation's self stated purpose is "empowering young entrepreneurs across Africa by creating platforms that facilitate intra-trade on the continent. We are dedicated to developing the next generation of outstanding African entrepreneurs, who will shape the economies and political landscapes of their home countries."
Last week, Maneta and company received praise from the Executive Chairman of Nigeria's Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) Babatunde Fowler for "its growth and impact on entrepreneurship in Nigeria and Africa".
In the 2016 report compiled by FIRS communications and Servicom department, it was stated that the AYEEN 2016 partnership was favourable and instrumental in delivering thousands of new TIN registrations across the six different regions in Nigeria through the AYEEN programme, the report also stated that through the programme they were able to engage with thousands of entrepreneurs and business owners.
All eyes have been on Maneta after her graduation last year from the University of South Africa with a Honours Degree in Law from the institution.
Some wondered if she would continue with her budding acting career or look for a "safer" job in the corporate world.
A year later she seems to be leaning towards the latter.
