The South Africa Musician Ray Phiri has died at the age of 70.
Mabine Seabe tweeted the message of his death saying, "Condolences to his loved ones. May his music live on forever."
Phiri reportedly had been admitted at a hospital nursing cancer of lungs and recently appealed for help in form of funds to pay for medical bills as it was reported that his medical aid had been exhausted.
Other musicians were still planning to pull resources together to assist him at the time of his death.
