A US man who claims to have been leaving in Africa since 1984 is suing the English rock singer-songwriter, composer, pianist and occasional actor, Sir Elton John for stealing lyrics to the 1985 hit song "Nikita".
Guy Hobbs the man behind the lawsuit claims that he wrote a song called "Natasha" back in 1982 based on his affair with a Russian cruise ship waitress.
Hobbs says it took him 26 years to file the law suit because News travel slow in Africa.
According to TMZ.com a rep for Elton and Bernie have released a statement ... saying they "do not know the plaintiff, nor did they make use of any song lyrics he claims to have written when they wrote 'Nikita.'"
