Superstar Oliver Mtukudzi is set to upgrade from his Discovery 4 Land Rover to a Land Rover Vogue.
Tuku's Land Rover SE Discovery 4 is already on sale in the capital and it is as good as a second hand vehicle can come. A 2011 model, the car only has 69,000km on the clock and is fresh from service.
The asking price is a cool $70,000 and with the state that the car is in, whoever gets it is one lucky driver! A potential customer said the $70,000 price tag is negotiable.
All things being being equal, Tuku will soon be riding in a brand new Land Rover Vogue which has an asking price of over $180,000 in Zimbabwe.
Everything is still intact on Tuku's Land Rover SE Discovery 4 from the leather seats to the glossy exterior and parts of the interior, like the steering wheel, are even covered in plastic.
"This car is perfect, almost as good as new. It just has returned from the service and the previous owner took care of it. It is suitable for both city and rural terrain and it only has 69,000 kilometers on the clock. It is in great condition and you should grab it before it's advertised in the paper," said the sales man.
Another source revealed Tuku's next plans.
"Mudhara is moving to a Vogue - a 2013 edition - that's why he is putting the Discovery on sale. Watch this space, soon he will have a new 4x4 Land Rover Vogue," he said.
It appears Tuku has a thing for Land Rovers, becoming the second artiste to show an appreciation for the model after sungura giant, Alick Macheso, who looked all too flattered to be associated with the brand recently.
Reports suggested there were plans to make Macheso a Land Rover brand ambassador a few weeks ago. This is, however, yet to be officialised. But as for Tuku, he will likely own a new Land Rover soon.
