Controversial dancer Beverly Sibanda, better known as Bev, turned 22 this weekend immediately declared her intention to become one of Zimbabwe's most recognisable brands.
"I am glad that I have managed to conquer the showbiz industry at a tender age but turning 22 means more responsibilities, challenges, new ideas and new goals," said the Harare-born pole dancer.
Bev, who got unchallenged after introducing bottle dancing, said something more interesting is coming soon.
"I have conquered Zimbabwe but I am now determined to offer something better, more interesting and more dynamic. Last year I toured South Africa where I won a lot of fans. The plan is to go to United Kingdom and China this year. We are already working working towards making these tours possible," said Bev.
The mother of one, however, will celebrate her 22nd birthday in style at Holly's Hotel in Harare tomorrow.
"Celebrations will be held tomorrow (Sunday) and to make the occasion special, I will unveil a special package. The lucky fans who will be at Holly's will have a great time," said the former Selborne Routledge and Zengeza High 2 student.
The celebrated dancer who has continually courted controversy again refused to comment on her love life which has been a subject of conjecture.
Holly's Hotel entertainment manager Tinashe Zekiya popularly known as DJ Nash feels privileged to be housing the birthday bash of Zimbabwe's foremost pole dancer.
"Bev has been a key figure in the dancing industry in this country. Most entertainment joints such as Holly's Hotel are what they are because of her," said DJ Nash.
