Catholics Ngoni Kambarami and Beverly Sibanda 'turn down' Prophet's call Urban grooves singer Ngoni Kambarami has no clue as to why newly converted Prophet Ronnie Bere mentioned him as one of the people he wanted to convert.

The Angela singer was mentioned by Bere last week among a list of people who needed divine intervention including raunchy dancer Beverly Sibanda and several prostitutes Bere once associated with.

When reached for comment, Ngoni Kambarami, initially did not want to comment on the issue saying it was baseless.

"I do not want to comment on the issue. I just want to forget about it because it's baseless," he said.

When asked whether Bere had any issues with him during his earthly days before his conversion Ngoni said:

"I have no issues with him whatsoever and I don't know why he mentioned me. May be its people who misquoted him, I don't know. My relationship with Ronnie was a professional relationship where I knew him as a manager and I was just an artist. It never went beyond that," he said.

However he said he has nothing against Bere mentioning his name.

"I have no bad feeling towards him. I have let that issue go and I am not bothered about it as I find it baseless. I am a strong Christian Catholic member," he said

Meanwhile, raunchy dancer Beverly Sibanda is not interested in being converted by former club manager and wheel-spinner cum prophet, Ronnie Bere. Bev who celebrated her 22nd birthday said only God could convert her.

"Handitendeutswe naRonnie kana umwe munhu, ndinotendeutswa naMwari nekuti Mwari ndiye anotendeutsa vanhu. Ndichatendeuka ndega (kangiphendulwa nguRonnie kumbe omunye umuntu, ngiphendulwa nguNkulunkulu ngoba uNkulunkulu ophendula abantu, Ngizaphenduka ngedwa))," said Beverly.

She added that there are no personal issues what so ever between the two and actually they are good friends regardless of him pointing her out.

"We are good friends from long back and we still are. Hatina kumbobvira tadanana, at that time he was going out with my sister and handina kana personal naye. Even now we communicate and he last called me asking if I was disturbed by the news that he had mentioned me as one of the people he wanted to convert. I told him there is no problem and I am not worried about it," she said.

When asked when she intends to convert she replied "Ndakatendeuka kudhara because ndonamata Mwari." Bev have always maintained that she too is a strong Catholic member.
