Sungura musician Alick Macheso's return from the United Kingdom tour was greeted with a disappointing development when he found his ride damaged.

Such was the dejection on Macheso's return from the UK tour last week that before he even got into his Upperfalls house his first notice was a missing window on his birthday present - BMW X5 that he uses mostly in his work.

Macheso has however, said that he might know people who broke into his car. What is appalling is that Macheso has 17 dogs at his house and they failed to 'detect' when the breaking in was occurring. There was nothing missing in the car, which has its front passenger door window neatly cut.

The day suddenly changed into gloom as the award-winning musician could not come to terms with the scary development - that a person breaks into a car ans steals nothing at all before leaving it like that.

"It is scary. You wonder what the motive behind this was. How can a person break into my car and leave all the valuable things in the car," said Macheso.

He said he would conduct investigations and try to know what the motive was before he could use the car.

"I won't use the car for now. You won't guess. Someone could have tempered with it so I have to leave it for a while as I look for experienced people to ascertain the damage," said Macheso.

Macheso's wife, Nyadzisai, was also at  loss of words with the sad development such that she could not welcome him at the Harare International Airport as she normally does. She could also not entertain the news crew as she referred all questions to Macheso who was equally shocked.

The Orchestra Mberikwazvo boss was however, welcomed by his daughter Sharon and Alick Macheso Jnr while the rest of the family stayed home fearing for the worse. On his way from the airport, he was so jovial, only for the happiness to end when he entered his yard.

The Sungura Ace however, said he was prepared for more challenges.

"This will not affect me at all. As a humanitarian ambassador, I am prepared for even more challenging things affecting people," said Macheso.
