Tryson Chimbetu in car accident

DENDERA musician Tryson Chimbetu was involved in a car accident at Mapinga Hills along the Harare-Chinhoyi Highway at the weekend.
He is now in a stable condition.
Chimbetu was returning to Harare from a show at Chikangwe Tavern in Karoi when his Toyota Mark II hit a huge iron bar that was laid across the road.
"All is well with me and I have just come out of the hospital where the doctors checked if I have no injuries," he said.
Chimbetu suspects that robbers could have put that bar along the road to rob motorists who would have stopped to remove the obstacle.
A police officer who attended the scene said it could be a bar placed by robbers or it had fallen from a cargo-carrying truck travelling along the road.
