Singer Justin Bieber's neighbours have teamed up and are refusing to pay their Homeowners Association fees until they give the pop star a firm reminder about the rules he's broken.
They are refusing to pay until the association puts a stop to the musician's reckless behaviour.
The 19-year-old singer received a visit from police at his house in Calabasas, California, last week after neighbours complained he was speeding around in his Ferrari - the latest in a long line of incidents which has angered the community.
Speaking to website TMZ, a source said: "Several of the residents of Bieber's Calabasas neighbourhood are tired of waiting for their Home Owner's Association [HOA] to take action against Bieber. So they are planning to withhold their monthly dues until something is done."
Around 500 residents in the upmarket neighbourhood pay an average of $1 000 a month in HOA fees, which means even a few people withholding their money could add up to a sizeable chunk.
Rules Bieber is said to have broken include holding late night parties, letting his friends illegally park overnight and irresponsible motoring in the gated community.
The Beauty and a Beat hitmaker may also face charges after allegedly threatening to kill his neighbour and spitting at him, after he was confronted for racing his car.
The local District Attorney is currently reviewing that case and is expected to make a decision soon, although sheriff's investigators were urging prosecutors to charge the star with battery and believe he should undergo counselling for his alleged behaviour.
