Jazz sensation Duduzile Tracy Manhenga was Thursday found guilty of culpable homicide by a Harare magistrate.
Dudu, as the 29 year old diva is fondly known, entered her own guilty plea.
The State alleges that on March 15 2010 around 14:15 hours, Dudu was driving a Toyota Spacio along Sherwood Drive. Allegations are that the now deceased, Graham Martin Millward, was riding his motorbike along the same road but coming from Dudu's opposite direction.
Indications are that Dudu turned right into a house in Mabelreign and her car was hit by Graham's motorbike. Graham was seriously injured as a result of the accident and was taken to West End Hospital where he unfortunately died on admission.
His motorbike is also said to have been seriously damaged. The state argued that Dudu turned right in front of oncoming traffic, she failed to keep a proper look out on the road ahead and that she failed to stop or act reasonably when the accident seemed imminent.
Manhenga was also found guilty of driving without a license.
She will be sentenced on Friday. She is pleading for a fine while the state wants a custodial sentence.
