$12 000 lobola for Macheso's daughter

Sungura ace Alick Macheso's daughter Sharon customarily married South Africa-based Kudakwashe Munetsi, who paid $12 000 lobola for her on Tuesday. The ceremony took place at Macheso's Waterfalls home, the Herald reported.
A Macheso family member who was in attendance said, "He (Munetsi) was charged $12 000 in items that are paid in cash excluding cattle and clothes. The men that were sent by Munetsi to pay lobola on his behalf left $6 000."
Macheso would not confirm the figure, but said: "It was a lot of money, but I will only disclose it on the day of their wedding, not now."
Macheso said he was happy for his daughter because the marriage discredited bad reports previously published about her.
