Actor and reality television star, Munyaradzi Chidzonga, is in South Africa after landing a leading role in a South African soapie, Mzansi Love.
His screen character is called Mark and it is an e.tv series.
He is currently on set shooting the series.
Chidzonga first hogged the limelight in 2010 at the Big Brother: All Stars were he came out second to Nigeria's Uti who landed the $200 000 prize.
Chidzonga then launched his film career after the reality show.
He has been engaging directors as well as actors from South Africa.
His manager, producer and director, Joe Njagu, said Chidzonga was making strides in his acting career, which he hopes will be taken to international levels.
"Munya got a role in e.tv's series Mzansi Love," he said.
"He plays one of the lead actors with co-star Khanyi Mbau.
"The series started shooting in South Africa from mid-May and until the end of June.
"The writer and producer headhunted him for the role, so they contacted me for a script read wanting to see if he can pull the British accent, so we recorded the clips and sent them.
"They were impressed and we signed the deal.
"He plays a guy who returns to South Africa (SA) from England in search of a new beginning.
"It is a very challenging role as he is required to do a British accent as part of his character.
"The show premieres next season on e.tv," he said.
In The Gentleman, Chidzonga starred alongside South African actor Presley Chweneyagae from the film Tsotsi who won Black Movie Awards 2006 Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role and Mons International Festival of Love Films 2006; best actor and Big Brother All Stars Kenyan housemate Sheila Kwamboka.
