The state controlled newspapers in Zimbabwe are reporting that South African pop diva and Platform One lead vocalist Nani Ntengo has supposedly found love in Bulawayo after it emerged that she had been in Bulawayo living in a single room for over a month with her "man", in Pumula North, Sunday Leisure exclusively revealed.

Ntengo, who rose to fame in the early 90s with Freddy Gwala's group, Platform One, was spotted several times strolling in the suburb last month.

A source who spoke to the Sunday Leisure and lives near the house which Ntengo is reported to have been living at said at first they thought it was just Ntengo's look- alike.

"We were not sure if it was really her when we first spotted her. For days we would see her strolling from the shops carrying alcohol and groceries. We only ascertained it was her after we called her name.
That's when she responded and chatted thereafter," said Mrs Susan Nkomo.

Mrs Nkomo said that Ntengo told them that she had been in Zimbabwe for over a month and was living with her husband, who was only identified as Moyo.

"She was wearing black leggings, flip-flops and a sky blue string top. She was very receptive and smiled throughout the conversation. She even sang one of her songs for us," she said.

Mrs Nkomo, who admitted to prying for information, said when they asked her who she was seeing she only identified him as Moyo.

"When we tried to extract more information on who she was seeing she only told us the man's surname," added Mrs Nkomo.

A neighbour to the house which Ntengo was living in said he was surprised to hear that the woman he had seen Moyo with, was Ntengo.

"I saw her when she arrived at the house but I did not recognise her. I was surprised when I heard other neighbours saying Ntengo was in love with a Zimbabwean man," said the man who preferred anonymity.

He said that he was not very close to Moyo but revealed that he was from Filabusi.

"I am not very close to him (Moyo), but I know he is from Filabusi. He lived in South Africa for a long time, perhaps that is were they met. He lives in the house with his young brother but is hardly around as he is always out of the country," he said.

A woman who also rents a room at the house where Ntengo and her "love" live confirmed that Ntengo had been living at the house with Moyo but could not bring herself to confirming whether the pair was in love, as she said it was none of her business.

"Yes, Ntengo was here but she is not around, she left some weeks ago. I don't know if she is in love with Moyo as it's none of my business," she said.

When asked about Moyo's whereabouts she said he was in Zambia and was not aware when he would be back.

"I don't know when he will be back, why don't you ask his young brother, he will best furnish you with the information," she said.

The woman who declined to be named said Ntengo could have left the country as she had come to pick up her clothes last Tuesday.

"I last saw her here on Tuesday when she came to pick up her belongings," she said.

"Perhaps this could be proof that love conquers all and that no mountain or river can prevent two people from falling in love," said an elderly woman from the neighbourhood.
