Beverly "Bev" Sibanda, the newly-appointed Msasa Bricks brand ambassador, says her debut album Tapinda will win a Zimbabwe Music Award (Zima) award and prove her doubters wrong.

Bev is confident that she will be among award recipients on October 4 at the Rainbow Towers in Harare when the revived Zimbabwe Music Awards (Zima), which has bounced back after a seven-year absence, crowns winning musicians.

The controversial artiste, who until the release of her debut album late last year was better known as a dancer, entered her album in the Best Contemporary Album category.

"When I announced my arrival in the music industry many people did not take me seriously until I launched Tapinda," Bev told the Daily News yesterday.

"I was born to entertain and I am not looking back in terms of music. I am currently polishing my stage act and anytime soon I will drop my second album."

Her manager, Harpers Mapimhidze, is equally confident about the quality of Bev's debut album.
