Tongai Moyo hospitalised

Tongai Moyo has been hospitalised at a private hospital in Gweru amid reports that his health deteriorated in the last few days.
Dhewa, as he is popularly known by his fans, was diagnosed of cancer known as non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2008 and has been undergoing chemotherapy since then.
According to an official from Gramma Records to which Dhewa is signed, the artiste was recently admitted in hospital for treatment.
Emmanuel Vhori, the general manager of Gramma Records, yesterday confirmed that Dhewa was in hospital.
"I spoke to his wife and she told me that her husband was in hospital in Gweru. It should be Claybank Hospital, but I am not yet sure. In fact, I am going there tomorrow (today)," Vhori said.
Dhewa's confidante and family friend, known as Pedro, answered his phone and said Moyo was in hospital for his routine check up.
"He is not ill. He only had side effects from the medication that he is taking. Actually, he is relaxing at home. He went to Harare on Sunday for check-up.
"He was not admitted but was going to hospital for the check-ups," Pedro said.
First Farai, a fellow musician and close friend of Dhewa, confirmed that Dhewa had been hospitalised.
"I received the news from some of my guys who are in Gweru who told me that he is in hospital. I am going to phone him (Dhewa) this evening."
Dhewa underwent chemotherapy in July last year at St Anne's Hospital.
The musician has even said he is willing to seek help from prominent Nigerian prophet TB Joshua after his cancerous tumour relapsed.
Currently, Dhewa is riding high with his latest album Toita Basa that carries the songs Ndiro Yababa, Ndinobvuma - that talks about his cancer condition ' Tsamba Ndakanyora, Nhasi Ndadiwa, Mabasa and Imba Vaviri.
